Gordon Freeman, hero of HALF-LIFE, returns in the sequel. At the end of the first movie, Gordon was offered a choice by the mysterious G-Man: join him or die. Gordon accepted the man’s offer, and now he finds himself entering the run-down City 17 years after the Black Mesa incident of the first game. The Combine has conquered Earth and turned it into a police state where the last free remnants of humanity struggle to survive. Gordon, of course, is right in the middle of this struggle.
